BIO

Lackadaisical Lemon is a jam band from NJ blending jam rock, prog rock, funk, reggae, and more into a cosmic concoction of sounds. With face-melting shredding, oddball lyrics, and infectious energy, every show is a party you don’t wanna miss. Influenced by bands like Phish, Ween, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and moe., they carve out a style that’s both familiar and refreshingly new.

Formed in 2022, the band initially met as students at the School of Rock, quickly discovering their improvisational chemistry. The project has quickly evolved into something bigger: a tight-knit trio creating original music, building a unique sound, and melting as many faces as possible.

Their debut “Citric Acid” (2024) shows some early, raw songwriting from their more punk influences, offering a glimpse into the genre-bending madness. Songs like “Wake Up Jimmy!”, “This Song is so Very Funny”, and “If You Ain’t Crocin’, You Ain’t Rockin’” continue to be staples of their live sets to the day! However, their latest album “Lemonade” (2025) shows a more matured musicality, sounding closer to the groove-oriented, prog-fueled, funk-fest jam extravaganzas of which most Lackadaisical Lemon shows tend to be. With the catchy single “Lemonade”, to the fusion freakout “Cytoplasm”, to infectiously funky “Dentist Fraudery”, the album is tight, loud, and fun!

Live, Lackadaisical Lemon brings a mix of musical precision and unexpected surprises. You can find a huge collection of live performances on our YouTube Page.

    BASS AND VOCALS | @poniatowski_music

Pierce Poniatowski plays the bass with a uniquely melodic style that lends itself well to filling in the space left in the power-trio format.
